After School Transportation Program:

After School Transportation (AST) is a Boys & Girls Club of Aberdeen Area program that provides rides to registered Club members from local schools to the Club for our After School Program. Child must be current Club members & registered for our AST program. All registrations are processed first-come, first-serve and are based on space available on our existing routes & vehicles. Our AST program is separate service and separate fee than our membership.

After School Transportation Payment Options:

MONTHLY:

$50 per month per child

  • $40 for December & May
  • $20 for August
  • Fee is per child per month 

SEMESTER:

$210 (Aug-Dec)

$240 (Jan-May)

  • Aug-Dec due at time of sign-up
  • Jan-May due January 3rd, 2024
  • Fee is per child per semester

FULL YEAR:

$450 per year per child

  • Full Year due at time of sign-up
  • Covers August - May
  • Fee is per child per year

Please have monthly payments in on time to the control center or administrative assistant's office. If no payment is made, parent/guardian will be notified of late payment via phone and/or mail.  Your child will be unable to ride if payment has not been made. Monthly payments are always due on the 1st of the month. If no payment is made by the 5th, child will be suspended from the AST program until payment has been made. The Club accepts cash, card, check or money orders.

A.S.T. Rules:

  • Boys & Girls Club of Aberdeen Area's Conduct Policy (please refer to conduct policy in membership for details)
  • No food/drink/gum allowed on Club vehicles (members may eat their food/drink in the dining room when they arrive at the Club from their school. No gym is allowed at the Club or on Club vehicles.
  • If your child violates our Club's policy while on the Club vehicle or waiting for the Club vehicle at their school, child will receive a written reminder (incident/behavior report). This may result in a suspension depending on severity of behavior or if the behavior is repeated.


Waitlist Information:

You may place your child on a waiting list for their school by calling the Boys & Girls Club and speaking with the administrative assistant. Payment does NOT need to be made until a spot opens up. Spots are NOT guaranteed for members on the waitlist because we can't determine when or if a spot will open up. Please call the Club with any questions: 605.225.8714

Cancellation of AST Service:

In order to cancel After School Transportation, please send a written notice to the Club signed & dated by the parent/guardian. Failure to inform BGCAA will result in continued billing for the registered service for your child.

Change of Information:

Please fill out a Change of Information form at the front desk if contact phone number, address, name, etc. has changed at any time throughout the year.


Schedule:

If your child has a certain schedule and won't be riding on certain days of the week, please fill out an AST schedule form with the Admin. Assistant so we can eliminate the phone call to the parent and are aware of the child's schedule.


Winter Weather:

If Aberdeen Public Schools are cancelled due to inclement weather conditions, our After School Transportation will NOT pick-up at any schools. Our Club will be open during our regular After School Program time (3:00PM to 7:00PM) depending on severity of weather conditions. We will make any announcements on local radio stations & our Facebook page.
